Weihua Zhang

Ms. Zhang Weihua, joined the Department of Payment and Settlement of the People’s Bank of China in July 2005 and has served as Deputy Chief Officer, Chief Officer, Deputy Researcher and Director of the Accounting and Accounting Division, Research and Planning Division and Clearing Organization Supervision Division, and was the Secretary of the East Asia and Pacific Working Group on Payment and Settlement (EMEAP-WGPSS) from 2011-2015. Her main responsibilities include organizing the construction of the People’s Bank of China accounting data centralization system and RMB cross-border payment system, conducting financial market infrastructure assessment, engaging in international cooperation in payment settlement, and supervising non-bank payment institutions.
