Camilo Tellez
Camilo leads the global research and innovation work at the Better Than Cash Alliance, a UN-based partnership of over 60 governments, companies and international organizations that accelerates the global transition from cash to digital payments in order to drive inclusive growth and reduce poverty. At the Better Than Cash Alliance, he oversees global innovation and research supporting members in their efforts to build digital economies.
Prior to joining the Alliance, Camilo held positions in the area of digital financial services for over a decade at the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP); the World Bank; GSMA in London; the UN Economic Commission for Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok, and at Microsoft Labs in Bangalore. Camilo holds an MA in International Relations and Latin American studies from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), an MSc in Information Systems and Economic Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Diplome in International Relations from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po Paris).
