Bart Claeys is the head of Data & Analytics Products at SWIFT, where he is responsible for defining the overall Data & Analytics portfolio strategy, which aims at supporting SWIFT in achieving its vision of being the instant and global network for all cross-border transactions. Bart is convinced that rich data is a key enabler for secure and frictionless transactions and one that enables business growth. Driven by his passion for data, he previously led SWIFT’s Reference data utility. Prior to that, In support of SWIFT’s strategy to support its community fight financial crime more effectively, he led the initiative to develop and drive global adoption of the KYC registry, which helps correspondent banks increase the efficiency and manage complexity of Know Your Customer activities.
